Here’s where we need your help! This Last Key component is currently suspended due to the failure of the 2008 U S Congress to fund Even Start Family Literacy grants.
Since 1999, 30-125 families per year have been served through Even Start grants coordinated the Madison Metropolitan School District, building an excellent track record of success in Early Childhood, Adult, and Family gains as measured by the WI Department of Instruction and the Federal Department of Education.
With the support of Madison Metropolitan School District-Community Partnership Funds and the Northport Apartments we continue to provide Parent-child interactive literacy and 2 early childhood classes in collaboration with adult education classes taught by Madison Area Technical College three days per week.
With your support we will be able to restore critically needed parenting education and support to our Hmong, Spanish and English speaking families this spring.
